Re-roofing

A full strip and re-cover when patching stops being worth it — new felt or membrane, new battens, and tiling or slating back to match (or upgrade) what was there.

What people ask before booking.

Usually not. Re-roofing like-for-like normally falls under permitted development rights in England, so no planning application is needed. The exceptions are listed buildings and some conservation areas, where the council may ask for matching materials or extra sign-off — we’ll flag it during the quote if your property’s affected.

Yes. Every quoted price includes scaffolding, skip hire and waste removal — the figure you’re given is what you pay, not a starting point with extras added later.

The roof is sheeted and made weathertight at the end of every working day, so a rained-off day just pushes the finish date back rather than risking the property. We’ll tell you as soon as we know, not the morning it happens.

A small deposit secures the date and materials order; the balance is due on completion, after the walk-round. Nothing is asked for upfront in full.

Workmanship on the job itself — if a covered fault shows up within the guarantee period (25 years on a re-roof, 20 on flat roofing, 10 on guttering, 2 on a repair), we come back and fix it at no cost. It’s registered in your name and sent in writing, not just said on site.
